National Australian Convention of Amateur Astronomers

The 25th NACAA will be held over Easter 2012, from Friday April 6 until Monday April 9 and is hosted by the Astronomical Association of Queensland with support from the other astronomy clubs in South East Queensland. NACAA will take place in the historic Grand Court of the University of Queensland at St Lucia in Brisbane. The NACAA XXV committees invite all amateur astronomers to attend this rich and varied feast of astronomical excellence!

The programme is almost complete, and will include an exciting mix of invited speakers, technical sessions, group discussions, hands-on workshops, and social functions. The 2012 Berenice and Arthur Page medal is expected to be presented at the convention dinner.

Registrations for NACAA XXV have commenced. A number of registration packages are available, ranging from attendance at just one or two sessions, the workshops or symposia, through to a full convention, dinner and BBQ package.

It is not too late to contribute. If you are an active amateur astronomer and would like to present a talk or poster, please contact the Programme Committee.
